The Capitol Hill Light Rail Station is a new underground rail station for Sound Transit. The station is the first new station on the University Link Rail line. The station will have three above ground entrance structures leading into the underground cut and cover station box.
For this project Christine was the architectural project manager and the contract unit manager leading the design team through the final design phase, while at Hewitt. Scharrer AD continued to work on the station – working with station artist Ellen Forney to design details for the installation and framing of her wonderful murals. The station began construction in 2013 and opened early 2016.
